You can do that and still be legal if you fly the plane in IMAC style meets. However, in the scale world, the 300 rear turtle deck is shorter in length than the 260. So if you just put that canopy on the same hatch, the windshield will stick too far forward, and not look all that great. You decide.

Thanks for the reply's, I guess what I meant was, is it a direct replacement part? i.e is the fuse the same and only the canopy different.....anyone know that?
I would assume its not, just wish full thinking. Andrew |

Yes, I know the answer, it is not a direct replacement part. Yes, you can put it on there. But your plane will not look like other 300's. The windshield will be too far forward on the top of the fuse. Also the 260 has a shorter fuse than the 300. And the 300 has a shorter rear turtle deck due to the two-place windshield taking up some of the length.

The 260 and standard 300 that I make has the same length fuselage. The 300 ml is a longer fuselage. You could put a 300 canopy on a 260 fuse by cutting back the turtle deck and the forward hatch. The hatch would get cut back to the middle former that is just over the fuel tank. Other than the cowling and the angle of the turtledeck you would then have a 300.

I've got to ask. WHY ??
Why would a red blooded Canadian male want to turn a single seat "man and his hot rod" into a family sedan ? Got a hot girl friend pilot figure you want to take along for the ride ?

Thanks Tony.. could you send me a PM with availability and pricing for the 260 canopy, 300 canopy, cowls for both as well.
As for why, I'm understanding that the standard 300 is a better sequencer then the 260. This will be my dedicated IMAC bird. The girlfriend hangs at home:7aa:lol Andrew |
