We're all familiar with running unregulated A123's directly into JR922 receivers and then onto JR servos. Has anyone ever tried running Fromeco Li-Ions into the same JR922 and JR servos? I see that the R922 can handle up to 10 volts, but, I'm not sure the JR servos would be able to safely handle the 7.4 volts?

We're flying a 42% and a 35% on dual Fromeco 5200 Li ion's unregulated and using JR 8711's through out including the throttle servo. Never an issue.

I forgot to mention, and it may be important, that we are using 8611a's and not the 8711's. Hope they will be ok?

They should be ok, just realize that JR typically won't warranty servos not regulated to 6v's.

Just don't let the "Magic Smoke" out! Electronics never work again after that happens.

Sweatpee I have to disagree with you on this One, I had 8611a and 8711 in a 43% airframe, the 8611a's seized after about 50 to 60 flights, 8711 were ok, good luck.
