Default SV-26 trouble

I just started a new SV-26 and i'm having issues. It started and ran for around a minute or so but it was rough, now all it wants to do is fire up and then die instantly. I have moved the needles everywhere from 1 turn to 2 1/2 turns and its the same thing. The stock settings were 1 1/2 on the low end and 1 on the high end. It's pulling fuel to the carb no problem and there aren"t any air bubbles. Any ideas?

If it fires and then dies, almost sounds like it's running off prime. Possibly a partial blockage in the carb?

I took the carb apart and everything looks good. Clean as a whistle.

Maybe check the fit of the fuel line to the carb nipple. I have another brand 26 that suddenly would not run past idle speed. Took me two days to find this. Apparently the plastic nipple on mine is slightly undersized from normal on the bigger carbs. Zipped tied the line and all is now well.

Okay, I just spent another hour or two messing with it. No dice. I completely cleaned the carb out and blew out all the orifices with my compressor, removed the screen etc. It will start and run for maybe 2 or 3 seconds and die. I opened the needles up to 4 turns and then gradually backed them in. It won't even try with them opened way up. When I get down around 1 1/2 is when it will start. I'm ready to hit it with a hammer but I know it's probably something simple. Is there a chance that the ignition may be shutting down and if so is there a way I can check it? I double checked the timing and it was set at 45 degrees which seemed a bit to advanced in my opinion so I backed it down to 30 BTC and it didn't seem to make a bit of difference. It has a decent spark, not as good as some I have seen but it's firing it. I made sure that the battery was good also. Anything else other than send it to Ralph? I want to get this baby flying rather than shipping it off.

Try using a completely different fuel tank and then try using a different battery plugged directly into the ignition.

It's running finally. I'm at about 1 turn each on the needles but it sounds okay. The transition is snappy as hell with a XOAR 16X8. I think I may be a bit underpropped. I'll try a 17X8 tomorrow.

Well it was running good for a minute. I got about 3/4 of a tank through it then it died again. I've had the carb off three or four times and it's so damn clean you could eat off of it. The needle is set right and everything looks great. Damned if I know. I'm ready to chuck the whole thing if I had a replacement.

I did that, it's still at about 32 degrees BTDC but it seems to run good. I just hope it doesn't run especially hot.
