Default Norcal 3D Flying....

Had a great time out at the field yesterday. my 3W Yak is totally dialed in now. My buddy Brad snapped the shots and I edited. Gonna blow some of these up for large prints for the garage.

Brad maidened his new Dietrick Slik 540. Fantastic looking scheme and it flew great!

hey, nice photos. where do you fly at NORCAL? I have relatives over at Pleasanton and had been to the field over at Livermore unfortunately I was told that the big birds aren't allowed to fly on weekends. Would love to see some giants fly next time i visit the States

Yep, true about no gas planes in Livermore anymore. A bunch of political BS with the FOG's running the place. These photos are at a private club in Napa, CA.

are there other nearby fields near Pleasanton where giants are permitted to fly? The only other field i had been to in the Bay area is the field in Santa Clara

Near Pleasanton is a relative term in that area. The nearest that would be easy to get to would be in Tracy if it's still functional.

closest to Pleasanton for 40% gassers:

1) SCCMAS Tomcats - Morgan Hill
2) Livermore - FlyingElectrons (looks like the field will support big gassers, but I haven't checked it out yet.

Dunny, glad you made it out and welcome back to the Bay Area! I'm out of town now, but will be back and flying on Sunday next weekend. I'm going to trek to Sacto on Saturday to fly with some friends.

Just getting to Morgan Hill can be a traffic nightmare, but going over the Altamont in either direction can often be as bad.
