Congrats, you'll love it, provided you're not used to flying 40%er.

You're on the right way.

DA100
Compact muffs
Mejzlik28x10
ZN Line 5" Carbon spinner
32oz Tank
Kavan 4.5" wheels
6 x 8611a/5955TG (1 on each, ail (inboard bay), elev half, and 2 on rudder)
3 x Fromeco 2400mAh Li-Io (1 on ignition, two on Rx)
3 x Fromeco Regulators/Switches

Did I miss anything? A Power Box/Expander is not necessary, but it's always nice to optically isolate the Rx, so the Smart-Fly Power Expander at $99.95 is a nice investment. The Smart-Fly optical kill switch is also very nice, and ads safety.

fly boy, you will love it!!!

I have gone all out with mine and used the top of the range stuff in my 2.6, so if you've got the mula ($$$$) i would reccomend this:

-8511 all round (servo choice is up to you but this is what i'm running)
-power box champion 24/40 (this eliminates the need for matchboxes and it equalizes your battery power between all the servos. it also does signal conditioning to give spike free opertaion and zero glitches. also if one servo locks up in flight it can still prodce the power to all the other servos)
-MTW cans ( i fly in a noise sensitive area and these really make a huge difference, plus you get some extra power from them. but make sure you get the right headers otherwise the cans will go straight through your wing spar
-And a JR PCM649s reciever( but once again its up to you but i would really reccomend going PCM)
- 2x 2400 mah nicads for reciver (you could go lithium but i wanted the option of charging at the field)
-1x 2400mah nimhd for ignition (once again, you could go lithium but then you would need a reg as well)

Also, here in Australia we get a control horn upgrade which includes this:

-titanium turnbuckle pushrods
-ball links
-control horns made of G10 (?) material to cope with the ball links
- and SWB locking servo arms.

If you are interested in the upgrade kit I MIGHT be able to get in contact with my rep who stocks the upgrade kit.

Like i said, this is all top of the range stuff and costs a pretty penny but in the end, you've spent all the money on the plane why skimp in other areas only to have it crash because of something that was skimped on? This thread http://http://www.rcuniverse.com/for...2Cextra/tm.htm
was also a great help and answers alot of questions.
If you want any photos from the build process or radio install i'm more than happy to help!

BTW DA100 is THE motor!!!!! lol

So, you can actually get away with 6? Andy told my 8 total with 2 per aileron, and 2 on rudder. I know thw composite plane will not flex much, but are the surfaces small enought that the 5955's will be enough? Thanks for all the help guys, I am totaly stoked about my b-day present. 15 is great lol.

There are great planes. I have had mine for about 2 years now and still flying strong. Heres a video that i made before christmas. Just some hovering but it will do anything you want it to do. I wish i had more elevator throw though. I think im getting about 42-45 degrees something like that.

I have also been running only (1) 8611 per aileron/elevator and 2 on rudder. Although I don't fly all that often it has held up well for 30 flights. I was also very lucky in receiving a very light airframe too. With a BME 110, NO match boxes, power busses, etc, I am below 23lbs and that is with Nimh & Nicad. This to date is the closest plane I have flown that compares with a foamie. It will not break out of any maneuver I have tried yet, at any speed. (picture of plane in avitar)

Hey Santi and Brandon--Some time I will have to meet you guys at Oakdale. I am in need of some pointers and by the look of your videos you would be able to help me.
