Brillelli 46 with fourth tank of penzoil air cooled at 40:1 mix.About to go to synthetic at a thinner ratio.Right now i'm getting 6600 rpm's with a Menz 20x10 prop.Probably still don't have my mixture perfect but I'm getting close. What rpm numbers should I be getting with this prop? Thanks

That sounds about right I think I was getting close to 7000 rpm's with a 20/8 PT carbon. Great little motor too bad they are no longer in business.

I get about 6500 with a converted Poulan 46cc with a 21x8 TBM prop. I have to lean the crap out of it so you may be getting about what it has.

I get 6,950-7,000 on a Vess 21A with my Brillelli 46. Using Stihl synthetic at 50:1. Plug is a nice dark tan.
Sure do miss doing business with Scott... he helped me tons. Cheers, Andrew.

What pitch would a Vess 21 A be. I notice most using Vess props are getting a few more rpm. I think my Poulan is the same as the Brillelli. I bought it off e-bay. The seller said Ralph Cunningham hade converted it.

The Vess A series is said to have an average pitch of 8. It's a fairly loud prop but a real stump puller. I went from a 22x8 Xoar eagle nose to the 21A Vess and the spool up is much better.
Cheers, Andrew.

Loud doesn't bother me, in fact I like to hear the prop. Have you ever been to a full scale airshow and the aerobatic planes not really rippin the prop? Sounds cool. I may have to try a Vess, My Cap 232 is Is a little fat and could use a few more rpm and more thrust. The TBM prop seems to be a good prop though.

You are rich, a 20x8 should be in the mid 7k.
