Thanks guys, I actually thought Dowd had it wrapped up. We were calling for one another all weekend. You can see we were pretty close. Billy I. didn't even show up Sunday to fly and still took third place. Took me a few seconds to realize my name had been called at the awards.

Man! the goodies keep showing up at my house for the raffle!!!
My club officer sent out requests to all the companies and some I didn't know about, and a few have actually been sending me stuff!
Very impressive to see shipping charges of $10 bucks on a box of goods that they are kind enough to send for our event. I will be putting up a list a names of these companies very soon. I will also send them a "Thank You" personally.

Well, my secret is I didn't get to practice at all until the rain stopped Friday afternoon. I was the first in the air and got a few flights while there was still heavy mist coming down. Looking like I may not get to practice again this time. Been kind of busy with my new house and biz, plus unless the rain stops, I'm building pontoons for my Sukhoi.

Next week is Prattville, AL
Ooooh! and the 2010 sequences are out. Going to be fun, fun, fun in Sportsman next season.

I was hoping some more of the SC crew were going to make it, but they are probably going to Tucson. Although, there are quite a few guys from the SC signed up.
Perhaps, we'll get a couple more pilots in Advanced to make it once they get work schedules sorted out and we are closer to the date.
At this point, I'm also not expecting any Unlimited either, but you never know.
That just means more food for the rest of us. It's going to be catered and from what I have heard, it should be tasty!

Hi Bobby,
I just got back from our monthly club metting. My field officer said he talked to the folks at the hotel and no one has made reservations.

I hope that you mentioned "Model" or something about it when you revserved to get a little discount on the room. Nice thing about staying at this hotel is you just a walk across the parking lot and you're at the Waffle House.

We are making final preparations for This Weekend. I'll be camping out at the field with everyone else.

I am planning on being at the field most all day Friday for flying and early registration.

I do have permission for us to make some trim passes before 8am for those arriving Saturday morning. Please let those arriving Saturday morning have priority to make a flight. The guys up in Prattville were kind enough to let me have cuts and I really appreciated being able to make that flight.

Saturday Morning, We'll play my favorite song, have the pilot meeting, and get to it ASAP.

I'm staying at the Microtel also...the one on Lavelle Way. I think this is the one close to the field, but I didn't think to ask for a discount associated with the contest. It was cheap enough with the online price
What is the weather supposed to do this weekend??? All I can find is chance for scattered t'storms

Well, supposedly we were getting a Modeler's discount? I did call them up last month to verify and was told we get a discount. Still, it is off season, so the room rates should be reasonable anyway.

Weather.... it's always sunny in Florida. Nexrad currently indicates a 20% to 50% chance of scattered thunderstorms with possible chance of percipitation. However, the last couple days.... clear and sunny. The key word here is scattered. This is what they say to cover their arses. It may rain and may last long enough to get something wet, but unless there is a Hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico, we are going to fly.
