Well.. the left side and top portion of the nose is all drawn on... I've got to leave tomorrow for work for 2 days, so i wont get anything else done or started till thursday. When i get back, i'll probably take a break from the fuselage and start getting all the tail lines drawn on and then probably just go ahead and detail the stabs.. Hopefully that will be done by the weekend.

The recipe is easy..

1 part boredom
2 parts craziness

Mix and bake for 9 months, wait for the final product to grow over the the next couple of years.. lol

And the FUN (detailing) begins. 2 hours after starting i have 8 panels done and in place... this is going to take awhile!

The process goes like this:

Take tracing paper and trace the outline of the panel onto the paper.
Cut out the tracing from the paper.
Trace the outline of the paper onto the aluminum litho plate
Cut the panel out from the litho.
hammer (yes im using a hammer) all the detail into the litho.
Flip the panel over and "roll it" flat (i'm using a plastic wallpaper seam roller)
Apply contact adhesive to the back of the panel and onto the respective area on the fuselage.
Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
Apply the panel to its area on the fuselage. Rolls the edges to make sure they are stuck down well.
continue with next panel:

Paper templates made:

litho "blanks" cut out:

finish detailed panel:

Couple of panels installed:
