Default From paper to depron

Hey everyone! Just wondering how everyone transfers their paper plans to the sheets of depron. The way I do it is to simply lay down the cutout shapes on the depron sheets and cut around them. As you can imagine this isnt very accurate. What is everyone elses method? Does anyone glue the paper shapes to the depron then cut by any chance?

Regards,

Daz

You can wet the plans and lay them on depron and then cut. This way they stick really well, but you can not re use them.
Or just print them on thicker paper and trace the outline before cutting.

Draw in AutoCad, export to MasterCAM, Cut on CNC. Also if you want to make more than one copy, go to Kinkos and get copies made. you can transfer the plans as said above without destroying the originals.

I print my plans and I use carbon paper and transfer the plans to poster board. Cut out the parts on the poster board and now you have a good templates to just trace it on your foam. I use the fine point sharpie marker to trace it on my foam.

You can also use spray glue... put your plan together cut around the parts and spray a very light coat on the plan and place it on the foam and follow the lines. The bad thing about this method is it leaves the foam a little tacky for a while and I could never find anything to clean it off with.

I use 3M artist adhesive on the plans. let it dry on the plans first.comes right off with very little residue. I make copies at Kinkos its $10 ea full sheet.

Just cut them out of paper and tape them to the foam, then take a sharpie and out line. Then just cut on the inside of the line, works great!
