Trust me, this planes' ailerons are bigger than stock.
From the video they do not appear to be any larger than a stock kit... but knowing that this was Leseberg's old plane im sure that certain area's have been modified to his liking's. If you get a chance to being able to post a picture of the plane that would be AWESOME.

When I built this model for Mark, I built it as a 300L and the ailerons were barn door and not tapered but they had the same square inches of area. I noticed how the rolls were not as axial as I had wished so I tapered them but still maintained the 700 deg per second roll rate.
As far as the kit price, allot of people question this. The kit will be going up soon due to the cost of materials but we kept them low because we own our own CNC router and almost everything is done in house.

Thanks for the clearing that up! You can't tell very well from the video its not that great of quality. The kit prices are just right!! No need for changing the price of the kit . Just joking, we all no that everything has gone up in price, so we can all understand that there is a reason behind the higher pricing. I will be looking at the two planes very closely! I have always LOVED the Ultimate, but for the price of the Godfrey Extra there will be alot to look at! Im going to look at competing in the full schedule of IMAC next season! I have been flying for 13 years, mainly 3D, done a lot of demo's around the DFW area and South Texas, but looking for a new challenge. Never know, may end up with a pair of Godfrey Extra's or a Carden Ultimate and a Godfrey Extra. Who knows. Its nice to know that the Godfrey will IMAC well and 3D just as well, i know that i would not be able to fly JUST IMAC with any plane i get, id have to have a flight or two a day that i go out to jam the sticks and have fun with it!
Thanks for the info on those barn door ailerons!!

And there is no foam in the fuse except for the turtle deck I think. Not positive. I know Carden has a lot of foam in the fuse and that is what I dont like about it. One gas leak and that is a big mess to clean up! I have flown Donnie's Godfrey and it flies light which means great 3D And like donnie said you flip the switches and its a IMAC bird.

I sure would like to see more on the website. Like photos of completed/in the bones planes and prices on everything.

And more detail of what comes with.

There are several picture's on the site of the Extra completed, and on or two of it built in the bones, the price of the kit is posted, but im sure you would have to contact them to get further prices as far as built in the bones or built and covered ( if they offer that option ).

Kyle,

It flies IMAC as good as anything, and 3D's EXTREMELY well. Better than you would expect it to. We have two flying at our field. Mine is set up for IMAC only, with 28 degrees of elevator throw. It still harrier rolls and hovers quite well. My buddy Clints had been set up for 3D with the CG back and 50 degrees of elevator. It flew like a foamy in slow mo.

I've got almost a year and 250 flights on mine. Finished it just in time for the TAS last year and made the finals in Unlimited.

Let me ask you this?? What would you think would be the best class of IMAC to start in?? I have been an avid 3D pilot, i know IMAC is totally different than 3D, but if you already know most of the snaps, etc. Would it be Fine to start in a higher class than basic? Looking to make next year my first FULL season of IMAC. So very curious on what to expect and what class to start in.
Thanks
Kyle

Yes the 300 seems to be the only photos on the site. I may never build another plane what with the ARF selection and now quality. But if I did I'm thinking the Godfrey 260. In whatever size at the time. Considering cost, I guess the 35%.
