HAHA Just messing, i guess this guy in a year or two will be the next big thing to watch out for!!
Great looking plane and tell him to get that bird in the air and practice practice practice, or to stay home and play video games!! I would prefer the second option.

for an 8 year old , he can out fly me everyday of the week .... Dad just gets nervous when he is close to the ground .... My son LOVED it at Nall when a good friend of mine was spotting for him , my son was doing rollers on the deck , and over the water .........I was to " Dad , I like it when Lee spots for me , Lee tells me to come down on the deck and over the water .. You will not let me do that Dad ... Can you go back up to the other flightline so I can fly ? " By far a better pilot than I ..

Looking to make next year my first FULL season of IMAC. So very curious on what to expect and what class to start in.
Thanks

If you have not competed before.. I highly recommend doing your first contest in Basic... it is a great way to understand how the whole system works......
then after your first contest, decide where to go.....

As far as the kit price, allot of people question this. The kit will be going up soon due to the cost of materials but we kept them low because we own our own CNC router and almost everything is done in house.
Thanks for clearing that up Bob. I knew someone had told me a long time ago that there was something done to the ailerons. I thought it must have been the size of the ailerons because they are HUGE.

I have been flying one now for 8 month's and love it . I think maybe the reason there are not more of them out is because they are a ( Kit) ,,but let me tell you from experience they are really easy to build . I am and never claimed to be a builder but this plane go's together really easy .
I have only messed around 3D stuff and it does everything great ,

the one thing that I have not stated is that these planes were not modified in any way to do 3D , they are just built stock , with the intentions of the plane to be a competitive IMAC machine . They are just Great flying planes with a very wide envelope ..They do what you tell them to do , nothing else . good or bad .

I have two 40% 300's set up only for IMAC.
I absolutely love this design. Its a way better flyer than I am.
Robert has always been real helpful whenever we needed anything. If you have questions, call him.

If you have a day or so to kill, this thread contains a lot of info on my two planes during construction and one for Larry Arseneau that is set up for a DA-200.

Yes i feel the same way, as a kit built model, you can know that it is built right, and all the joint's are done properly. I would much prefer a kit built model, but prices for the ARF's are to cheap compared to the cost of kit, building it if you pay somebody to build and cover. In my eye's i would alway's prefer a kit built model! But arf's no day's make that to hard to do now sometimes.

Thanks for posting in here Wayne!! I have alway's looked over the build threads that you are apart of ( your plane's being built ). I know you have a lot of time on two different kits, Carden's and Godfrey's. What would be your best choice for a IMAC bird and a 3D Bird in one out of these two choices? Im looking at both models, i have the money saved up for when the ultimate is released from Carden, i have alway's LOVED the ultimate's so i've got to have one. I have been looking at between the 118" midwing from carden or the 126 midwing from carden, or the 40% from Godfrey for my back up plane. What are your thoughts on those?

Thanks
Kyle

Kyle,

Get them all... There really isnt a bad plane in the bunch. All the ones you listed will suit you well.
I dont 3D my IMAC planes at all so I cant comment on that aspect of any of them but my guess is that in the right hands, they will all do what you need.
