I dont 3D my IMAC planes at all so I cant comment on that aspect of any of them but my guess is that in the right hands, they will all do what you need.

Kyle,

I've been flying Godfreys for fifteen years starting with there first 37% 300s that Roberts dad built for the TOC pilots to the new 40% that Robert built. The new forty is a hard plane to beat for a bird that will do perfect IMAC in the right hands to the hard core 3D on the deck manuvers. Plus one thing that you will notice about them is how light they fly sometime you think your flying a gaint foamy. If you ever get down to the gulf coast of Fl you can come put your hands on one there are two fortys here and one thirty five.

Godfrey Extras seem to be the flavor of the month, and yes they do fly well.
But please keep in mind that when buying a Godfrey, you must be ready to deal with wood that looks amazingly like the picture below. And fiberglass work that seems to be done by a team of gold medalists from the "Special Olympics".

I am not sure what you can honestly say this , NONE of my wood looked like that and the E-Glass work was real good . and I have a long background in the composite industry ..look at the pix of mine in the bones , or better yet look at the build threads by Walt , I dont see any yella distorted wood ..

As far as the light ply aa/ab grade, the balsa; it is hard to get good balsa for everyone but I buy the best I can find, But the glass was done in house untill I became sensitive to it and now have it done outside our shop and the Quality is now very nice.
Thank you for the positive feedback , it is so comforting and allways feel comfortable to contact me personally to discuss my many short comings. But the potato chips, well I guess you confused me on this one.

Like Robert said it is hard to find good balsa. Even my Dalton back when I got it didnt have the best of wood. The sheeting was the roughest part. But you sand it anyway to cover. Any kit will probably have this in the Giant Scale world. Kits do last longer that is for sure!!!
