I bag my own wings. I use a home-made vacuum system. Don't have any pics of it. This winter I would like to make my own cnc bow cutter to cut cores. Pro-1-foam used to cut cores on here, don't know if he still does.
you can goto www.hobbycnc.com for info on a do-it-yourself kit.

I disassembled my CNC due to space. I can still hand cut what ever you need. The biggest problem now is shipping has gone up and not sure what hoops I will have to jump thru to get the foam. .75 lbs/cubed ft.

I have cut a few sets of wings for 35% planes. I use a hand-held bow (two people) for cutting the foam and purchased a used vacuum pump and regulator.

Most of my projects have been successful, but here's a picture of a 4 foot wing where I used too much vacuum. The blue lines are masking tape I used to hold the sheets together. You can see that the wing collapsed under the weight of the air. I had drilled a hole to pass the servo wires. that's where it collapsed. I have learned to drill the servo wire channel after the balsa is glued on.

yes I have my own cnc foam cutter and a vac forming system. I have done quite a few foam wings for the quarter forty guys, and quite a bit of vac forming for the movie industry. Also canopies for the pattern boys. I can cut wings panels up to 52 inches in length, and the Vac table is 2'x3'. It's kind of fun to do. If anyone needs any help on these subjects,I'll be more than glad to help you.

Pro-1 Foam and HiRise, could you post some details and pics about your cnc foam cutter?

I too would like to see your guys set-ups if you don't mind posting some pics for us. I'm very interested in this and have a question, can any style of wing be done this way or is it limited?

Thanks,
Dean

I use the foam works fc3920h machine with foamworks/cadworks and gmfc software.
I mainly build dlg's)discus launch gliders. I have done a few other random side projects.

Thanks,

the one I use is very much like the one by tekoa. But instead of the wire being pulled by a weight, the bow is driven by a servo motor, and yes you can cut anything on it.
