Default Evo RX battery question

I just bought 2 EVO-RX 3000mAh batteries off the swapshop. They have 2 sets of power wires coming out and they both go to 1 deans plug. What is the advantage of this? Will this give me 6000mAh? When I charge, what should the charger be set at? It is like the one pictured, but the 2 JR leads are now into 1 deans. Any help is appreciated.

Default Re: Evo RX battery question

They did that because the smaller gauge wire and standard JR plugs do not support high current loads. So they sell them with two plugs to go to the receiver, this doubles the current delivery capacity. Soldering both sets to a single deans does the same thing. The deans connectors are rated for much higher current, and usually on the other side have thicker gauge wires. The wires are in parallel so it still just provides 3000mah and the battery should be charged at 2 cells and up to 3 amps or (1C).
