Default 4 elevator servo's PISSING ME OFF!

OK, I am running 2 servo's per elevator half as usual on my 3w 44% cap. The linkages (NOT DONE BY ME) are realy pissing me off. They need to bind up (9351) to work, so the do not flop around because of the wacky low helicopterness of them. I wanted to run a big airtronics 400 and something oz servo on the INBOARD bay. Its real close to the fuse leaving all those hinges. Sound ok? Figured I would ask. I never got into the over buying tourque hype, but i figured I should ask.

Thanks!

Dan

Just use one 8711 per side.

Same here. I've got nearly 200 flights on my 3 meter 260 on 1 8711 per stab, and 30 flights on my comp arf Pitts with the same set up on a 170 with no problems so far.....

Futaba and Hitec also make 400 oz servos.
I would run a single 400 oz servo in the center of the elev. Its best to have the load evenly distributed. Your servo bays are both spaced on one side of the elevator half. That makes it difficult. Personally if I had to choose between the inboard or the outboard bays, I would say the outboard one because of the balance tab.

The only time I've had gear slop from JR servos was 2 8611's ganged together after 80 flights - most likely due to my set up. Like I said - 1 8711 per stab, just under 200 flights and it's fine. The plane can't be flying too bad after it won it's catagory in the first IMAC comp it or I have ever entered about 5 flights ago.....

Have you personally experienced JR gear slop issues that affected the way your plane flies?

RTS.

Just throw 2 94780's in there and call it done You will be very happy with tha setup, that is the set up that i will be running! Go back through there on the stab's and elevator and make sure the linkage is all set up correctly and it will be easy once you do that to put 2 servos back there and you should have NO problems. If you have any questions though, don't be afraid to ask!
Thanks

The advantage is going to be inboard bay. With it in outboard bay you get weight way out away from center line, which can affect roll rate and accuracy. Anytime weight can be as close to center line the better off you"ll be.I know it low weight but, it does affect it. JMO of course

One will do, but i just have more comfort with 2 in each stab. That's alot of surface area for one servo, BUT it can be done!! Like i said i just have more comfort with 2 in the stab. BTW, whens the new Dalton going to be ready to fly??
