I just replace the 8711 on my QQ Python rudder with a Futaba 9157 and it is great so far. Maybe one of those in each stab. Or the new hitec if it is ever released, that is what I wanted but I couldn't wait.

I have 1 8711 per stab on my 120" QQ Yak 54. 2 per aileron, close to 150 flights now, no slop at all.

Seth, where do you have the aileron servos placed? I wanted to run the two inner bays for better rolling, but outboard/inoard seems stronger.

I ran mine on the two inboard mounts and I think Seth does too. That plane has very stiff ailerons.

I did have 8711 non centering issue, but now that I think back I think I may have installed used servos.

Thanks,
Dan
RTS.

Anyone have pictures of single servo setups for elevator?

Just like Andy said,

I used the two root bays, not the tip. The airplane has heavy enough wings, no need for any extra weight at the tip of the wings. Ailerons are super stiff any ways, I tried twisting them before I hinged them. They aren't twisting at all.

Let me go take a couple pictures of my 120" Yak with 8711s, then I'll post them.
