I would not use them since your engine is heavier and you are going light. I would use the stock mufflers if possible. Jtec mufflers maybe

Yeah...im sticking to the std mufflers///since noise isnt a prob here in Singapore...just want to know if the landing gear is strong... i never flew a YAK before and i was always put off by the landing gear design but loves the way it flies

If you got the CF version, you will have zero issues with it. Pilot's CF gear is sweet!!!

Cant wait to get done with mine. Picked up some covering this week, so should get it done soon.

Not scared of it Drew just getting back around to getting it set up and Brett is doing a awsome job. I can tell you it is in no way going to fly like the 35 % Yak but I will get use to it. I have had a lot of other projects going on like the 32 ford that Dan and I got almost finished up along with a lot of other planes I have and the events I have been CD ing at Kingsbury with my events and Andys. Too many planes and so little time to fly them all. Fonze that Yak lands real slow and the landing gear is strong the tail wheel needs some help but I think Tony is replacing the one that came with the planes with a new style of tail wheel. As far as the weight I think you will be in the 27 lb weight zone. I would use K&S cans like Tony sales with the kits. they are nice and quiet and fit is good. I know you will be real happy once you get it done and work out the bugs good luck.

thanks greg... i know this plane will fly great....im gonna stick to standard mufflers and sort my CG out with the 3W....if i need to stuff the batts all the way to the back then it will be done....but i know the 3W is prob 1/2 pound or slightly more than a DA... so shouldnt be too much of a hassle...

I haven't built an RC Pilot Yak but the Yaks I have built are typically tail heavy. So you will likely be fine.
