Default 2009 Heatwave: SATURDAY
Saturday morning pictures are just in from Trojanman.
Nice work sir!

I spoke to Tim Davies last night and he said Friday at the Heatwave rocked with over 68 registered pilots and amazing "un-Heatwave" weather. As he called me last night, a bunch of night flying was taking place and he said it was getting crazy and something to see!!

We will have a full report as the afternoon wears on!

Jared Clark won the Super humongous Badass Sticker last night by performing a Snapasaurus so low he slapped his wing upon rotation. Looks like someone took a knife a sheared off 1/2 inch from his wing. (we have an asphalt runway)

Casualties have been extremely light. Had a wing depart from a 35%, and a couple of gear knocked loose.

the Demos were absolutely fantastic with Pete Rosas flying his 50% cub and jared Sisk with the 60%. Pete was doing barrel rolls with smoke on around the 60%. Chitty, Danhakl, Jonathan Jennings, and Bill Cunninghma did demos.
The big surpise however was when John light did a snap and a quarter to knife edge on takeoff with the 60% Extra 260. Matt said he woke up this morning saying "I'm gonna put on a show today," and did he ever!!! The Extra was being wrung out with Avalanches, knife-edge passes and a huge helping of snap rolls. I can guarantee this plane has not flown like this before.
