I was the judge for the Snap-a-saurus contest and there were only 3 possible scores: ASS! ![]() Bad Ass! ![]() Super Bad Ass! ![]() Jared was the only pilot receiving the Super Bad Ass score! Way to go Jared! That was super cool and recorded for all time! Only Elie has had a better (lower, with multiple ground contacts) than this one. |

well another crazy thing we all got to watch was Gareth attempt the zero of eight, next thing you know trees are jumping out infront of his plane, jims prop bolts break and planes just start to fall out of the sky like hail stones. the AMA should step in and stop people from attempting crazy manuevers like this before the world just explodes.
sorry for the poor quality the the video was taken with the flycam and at my side while I was spotting for Jim. Last edited by Josh Price; 07-27-2009 at 06:13 PM. |

![]() I'm going to the optometrist to get glasses. Everyone in my immediate family, even my younger brother wears glasses. I only have the issue in one eye (astigmatism) and it affects my distance vision. I see things in the distance pretty sharply so I believe my brain has been filtering out my left eye and I have lost my depth perception. At my last visit years ago the doc said not to get glasses too soon because it would only get worse if I did. I held out too long, cost me an airplane to set me straight. ![]() This event just rocks. Tim and the Glue Dobbers put on a great show and it was fun to get away from work and hang out for a little R/C fellowship. Oh and Snap-A-Muscle is gehey.

Man o man, still winding down from the heatwave. Great event as always. Thanks Tim and Jack for the hospitality and another one for the books. Good to see the Chitty gang as always, John I heard yours knees were knocking during your demo flight but you definitely delivered a show stopper wringing out the extra. Danhakl was lights out saturday evening flying inverted circles 6 inches above ground at 90 miles an hour with Zangs plane. FUNNY! Great to meet you Matt with aero tech models. Beautiful plane. The night flying was super impressive, I think Ben was rolling lower at night than he was during day time hours, those planes really fly well. Johnathan was so tired sunday morning I pulled his air mattress down the ramp door and he never budged. I pulled his cover off and he pulled his blanket back over him. He did not know he was laying down hill. We were laughing when he woke up. Look forward to seeing everyone again in the near future.
