Default deans to jr?

Is it possible to cut off the jr connector on a voltage regulator, and solder on a deans super connector? the reg I'm talking about is an mpi mk3 that i want to plug 2 2s 20c 1800 miliamp packs into (one per input) then Y connect into my ar7000.... Is this setup possible? all help appreciated

Sure thing. Just don't pull the wire to unplug the deans as wire is thinner and will stretch or break.

the 2 lithium polymer batteries are going into the regulator, in two seprate inputs, and come out in to seperate outputs. the y is used to add redundancy of both outputs being utalized... however, now that you say it, it would make more sense to have one output go to the rx, and the other to the cdi, with no y

the wire seems to break everytime that I soldered the thin wire to the deans. I would open the reg up and solder in a beefier wire. I did and no problems since. dont want the wire to break and then crash your plane.
