Thats it..... those are good pics of the plane!!! this stuff is a one off.... meaning no one else has it. battery and reg set up is a one of a kind from fromeco..... everything is the same except the RX. its a JR set up thats in it and fresh batts that are dated i believe with a march '09 date on them. and one of the headers has a fresh weld on it (right cyl. if looking from the front).
thanks again everyone...... i'll keep you all posted. |

I hope they find the guy and kick his azz. I had a hand in building that plane and it came out really nice. Sorry to hear about your loss. Let me know if I can do any thing for you. Rob

I decided instead of starting a whole new thread that I would just use this one so everyone can get the story on this plane. This is a 42% Aerotech 300 that Matt Mikish bought from me(before he bought Aerotech) and now I have bought back from him to get Phil back in the air. I didn't get a whole lot of pics from the beginning cause I was moving in the new shop and just lost track of time for the pics. But anyway this will go along quick, now that I can find everything in my shop. Phil is a great guy and he didn't deserve to have this happen to him. So if you can, give Phil your support as I put him back in the air for this IMAC season. The wings are still in Phil's possession and I will be mating them up to this fuse once I'm done. The stabs were stolen with the plane so I will be making new ones. Thank You and Enjoy the Build

Yes it does suck but he's on the road to recovery and that's what's important now.
I had my racecar trailer broken into and they took about six thousand dollars worth the tools special fuel cans metering blocks for the carbs and my generator, but what pissed me off the most was that they put they're grimy hands on my car. They never got the hood off but their hand prints were on the hood and that ticked me off. Now the trailer is at my shop with 5 cameras looking at it at all times.

Rob,
I still cant thank you enough for everything that you are doing for me. It truly means alot to me!! as you all may know or not know, it took along time to get to this level of flying putting everything that i got into aircraft after aircraft and finally having in posesion, an airframe to compete with. Like the rest of you, having Sh*t stolen really and trully SUCKS the big one and if i ever find them, there will be hell to pay for sure, you can bet on that!!! Now some of you may already know this, i truly enjoy this sport that we all love to do, starting when i was just a kid like most of us i can thank my father for introducing the R/C world to me. so through the years i have learned all aspects of the hobby which has brought me to where i am today, and that is managing a local hobby shop where i give much back to the hobby community. so i would like to thank all of you for your support and efforts, time and teachings over the years to allow me to do what i love to do. I look forward to the new airframe and working with Rob helping me to get back in the air as soon as possible. there is still alot of work to be done but i am looking forward to it, and getting it done as soon as possible and being able to rejoin my fellow pilots at the flying fields around the state. ![]()

Nice to have friends that have your back, Phil!!! Tons of good people in this hobby. Sad fact is that it's probably torn apart, those batteries have been used to make a "special" batch of crystal meth, and the engine has been torn apart by a tweaker just because he was up for three days and it was talking to him. I HATE THIEVES!!!!!!!! I'll keep an eye out over in Yuma, Arizona for you, but I'm betting it's still in Florida. Good luck getting back in the air ASAP!

Dude this sucks. How the hell did any one manage to pick that thing up and run with it. I mean jeez, whats the world coming to. I think once the thief is found i suggest placing the 3W where the sun don't shine.
