Default Realflight G4.5 Controller

I need some advise on my g4.5 simulator. When I'm in the middle of flying this sign pops up on the bottom of the screen saying "Your interlink elite controller became disconected." But the controller is still conected to my computer and I have no control of the plane. This has only been happening since I've downloaded planes from Knife Edge Swap Pages. So far I have deleated every airplane I've downloaded thinking that would make the sign go away but that didn't work. So I reinstalled Realflight on my computer but I still get the sign that its disconected. Do I have a loose conection in the controller or what?

Have you tried different USB ports on your computer? If you're using a hub that might be it too.

Yes. I've tried both USB ports and I'm not using a hub

I think that's not a software problem. You could try to install RF on another computer to see if you have problems with your USB conectors. If the problem continues maybe is your Controller's USB conector. Maybe ask RF about your issue and don't worry about importing planes.
I hope you can solve this problem. I use RF almost daily and can't think on having that problem myself.

I am currently having this problem now and then BUT it is my fault. I ordered a brand new kick arse laptop and Real Flight G 4.5 at the same time. Well, the software showed up first and I was itching to get at it, so I loaded it on my current laptop that barely meets the minimum requirements for the software. Windows is constantly sending out signals to the peripherals, as a self check. If you have a system with close to the min specs, and windows (a known memory hog) is trying to perform other tasks in the background, you will lose momentary signal of the controller. My system is really jerky when I fly (dropped frames) and it is easy to convince the software to hang when you hit full throttle during takeoff. The video and sound hangs, and I have to reboot to reset the software.

Go into the settings of RF software and scale back some of the extra stuff, then try it again. Also, go into task manager (control-alt-delete) and close any applications running in the background, like screen savers, antivirus, etc...

My new laptop will be here in a couple of weeks, and it exceeds the stated optimum requirements. I can't wait!!!!
