Default TBM 4800mAh Li-phos Battery

Purchased some batterys from Troy Built Models and was wondering if anybody has used them and what luck they have had with them.
I took one of them and split it and made 2 packs out of them.
they seem to work fine, but was wondering how reliable they are.
they are 4800mAh 6.6volts 2s2p 10c

I have the TBM 2 cell 2400, which is made from the same cells that you have I think. I've been using it since last November with no issues. Very happy with it. I have absolutely no intention of buying another NiCad or NiMh reciever pack for any size plane again.

I`M buying 4 more to split , like you i will never use any other battery.
When i split them i go ahead and put a ballancing plug on them .they have a deans connecter and a JR plug witch makes it easy for me cause i needed one with deans and the other with JR so when i split them i never had to buy any plugs.
I flew all last weekend ( fri, sat, sun,) at a scale meet with them in my 35%er and never had to charge any.
only thing i really need to do is send my ignition to C&H to get it changed to take 7.4volts and no more regs.
How many amps are you charging at, and what charger are you useing.I have the I-Max 6 i purchased from Hobby City .It works great and saves up to 5 battery`s and show usage.
I think it only cost $38 with free shipping with purchase of another item. i think i bought 3 props and total was about $6 for shipping. I`ll probly buy another one for backup.
Keep intouch , I know were onto somthing great.

These are the best deal if you want to take the time to split them.
Just make sure you check for the positive and don`t wire them backwards
, there not the same as the A123`s
