Hello everyone,
I'm in an impulse buy, kinda mood and my kids B-day is comeing up. I was wondering if someone could suggest a good, FUN, and TUFF/somewhat hard to breal... plane to fly. Either a Foamy or non-foamy/parkflier...would like suggestions on both. Also, perferably on the cheap end to repair. I myself have experiance flying Nitro Raptor 90 helis and am now getting into scale gasoline planes..... But never dabbled in "small fliers" or electric motors. I know nothing about them. I am looking for something I could possibly buddy box with my six year old with....or depending at how tuff the model is.... let him get on the PC-simulator and then onto flying the actual model right off the bat. Mainly and to the point, can anyone suggest something that my 6 year old and I could have fun flying together, easy and quick to start flying, and will not shatter into 100's of tiny morsals when it hits the ground. I'm sure you know what I'm trying to say. Suggestions on models, motors, servos,batteries???....I have Radios's already. Where should I get it... maybe my local hobby town will have it. Thanks alot. One of the best beginner planes that I've found is the Easy Star. You can either buy it as a total package with everything you need, including a transmitter, for under $200. The included transmitter is a Hitec 3 channel but I don't think it has a trainer jack. You can also buy it without the transmitter for about $90. Either way, it's a great little trainer and very durable. I've taught at least a dozen people the basics of RC flying with this tough little plane. Do a Google search or check out your local hobby store if you're interested, almost everyone carries these planes because they're so popular.

Hello CSwann
Brett's Easystar is a good choice, another is a GWS Slow Stick. The slow stick can be either RE or add ailerons and the wing loading is so low, it just floats around on a 100-125 watt motor, with the right setup, I have seen them fly for 45 minutes on a single battery. Ernie |

How about the Parkzone Corsair? Is the RTF (279.00) worth it compared to the ARF for 170.00? I have 3 transmitters already and was hopeing to use one of them...but by the time I piece out a battery and reciever, I'm betting I'll be close if not over the price of the RTF version for about 279.00 plus tax. The RTF comes with a 2.4 transmitter/reciever , I was wondering if anyone has it...if so, does it have a outlet to connect a trainer box to it. Also, can a 2.4 transmitter be buddied with a non 2.4 transmitter. If it can't or doesn't have the connection I'll deffinatly get the ARF.
