Default got the jitters

I have a R921 receiver with a smartfly power system eq6.The problem started today at the beginning of my second flight I turned on the trans then waited a bit then switched on the receiver and before it binded the right aileron kinda danced around a bit.I thought that this did not seem right because it had never done it in the past,so I turned it all back off waited a minute while scratchen my head wondering what had caused this.I then turned it all back on,binded with no problems this time so off I went on my flight.Getting ready for the next flight I turned on the transmitter then the plane, this time every thing went nuts before it bined I mean the surfaces went full deflection in all different directions like I was useing 72 mhz rubbing the antenna on a metal pole or something. It binds in the normal amount of time but now it just goes haywire before hand.I turned it back off once again waited a minute then turned it back on this time it did not glitch just as before.

Re-bind it(and what you are talking about is not called binding it is called linking up). And are you using digital or analog servos. Seems that analogs can have a tendency to do this, particularly if your ATV's are set above 100%.

Sorry, linked up yes that is what I meant.I will re-bind and see if that does the trick. All the atv's are 100% except for the throttle and it is set to somewhere around 108 no higher that 115 I'm sure of that. The servo's are all digital hi-tec 7985mg's and 7955tg's.

Make sure you carefully read the binding instructions for the 921...I seem to recall that my 921s bind a little different than my Spectrum 7000s???? Something about when you remove the bind plug, I think?? I'm not real savy about this though.

were do you have your power to the reciever hooked up to. do not hook it up to the battery port or the bat bind port. http://smart-fly.com/Products/PowerS...%20Rev%20A.pdf

The 922 powersafe ( I assume it is the same rec. as the 921) has 2 failsafe options. Smart-safe (throttle only) is set during binding by leaving the bind plug in during the bind process until the rec. is connected to the tx. (and placing the throttle stick in the position you want it to failsafe to). Failsafe is set during the bind process by placing the bind plug in and turning the power on then removing the bind plug, then place the sticks/switches in the desired positions and while holding the sticks press the bind button on the tx and turn the tx on. You can try this and see if it helps.

I think I found the problem, when I tryed to bind again today the problem was still there.I then installed another r921 that I took out of a different model that had no problems. That receiver did the same thing,so then I unplugged everything and went strait to the receiver and every way I tryed there was no trouble this way. Then I connected the receiver back to the EQ6 with only one battery no switch or anything just batt. servo and board and the problem came back.So I think its the board, does this sound like the problem to you.

Contact Robert with smartfly. Mine was doing the exact same thing. I contacted them and they sent me a replacement.

This kind of makes me wanna do something different for power because I lost a 35% 260 about three months ago and never found the problem. It also had a eq6 in it that was broke up into about five pieces in the crash so I could not send it back to see if it had failed .Now my very next board goes bezerk on the ground.

Just because your ATVs are at 100% doesn't mean that your servo will travel even that far. They SHOULD, but won't necessarily. I always back off my ATVs to around 80% and slowly increase them and watch the servo move, once it stops moving, I go back down with the ATVs a couple clicks and leave it there.
