Default Parkzone Servos

Hey guys I have a parkzone receiver/ servo board and want to put it in a new plane. I want to put it in one of the 28" dw kits. http://www.shop.depronwest.com/produ...&categoryId=10

The concern I have is the servos on the board only claim to have 3g of torque. Is that enough for that size plane? I think it would save quite a bit of weight and be so nice and easy to set up. the specs are on this page. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...odID=SPMAR6400

It also says 3.7v input. If I run a separate speedo with 2s will that fry it since more than 4v is going to the receiver?

Actually the servo torque is incorrect, in two ways.

First since they are linear servos, it isnt torque, its actually force.
Secondly and more importantly the force is more in the 53g ballpark. The 3g was a typo that got all the way through our proofing.
Sorry for the confusion.

So does that means it will be able to move the controls on a 5 oz 3d plane?

I cant say with absolute certainty, but my guess is no. A 5 oz model is probably too large for them.
