That time a year again. If you are anywhere near here you need to come out.

Plus we can fly foamies after hours at my house which is only about 20mins away.

The lear jet had a flame out and bounced very hard on the landing. It then flipped upside down. Tore up the wingtip and the front of the canopy. I didn't get the crash portion on video as the battery died 1 sec before it flipped (no kidding). Couldn't even sneak in a damage picture

I really liked Bill's new Viperjet. It was big and red/white. Yes its a sport jet but it still was impressive. He was already done flying for the day so I didn't get any action shots.

We should be able to pit with Roberto and Bill. We can share their tent I'm sure. They were hoping you'd show. I thought I snagged a pic of his jet but I only got the guts of it. I'll get more tomorrow.

Great event, as usual! I was only there for saturday, but a lot of jets and alot of flying despite the 90* crosswind. I was hoping to see the Turbine Heli there this year again, but didnt see it

, and have yet to see a turboprop there.. (hint hint to someone out there), but regardless an awesome time was had by all!

Finished off today........There was a dense fog layer this morning until about 10:30 when it lifted to light winds down the runway and warm sunny skies. Lots of flying today.

I'm sorry to report Kirk had some sort of issue with his Electric Starfire. It appeared to be some type of lockout (2.4). The plane went in half speed nose first. There was nothing left but the rudder. Even the data logger was destroyed.

does the rx run off the speed control like most electrics on kirks jet?

Not sure. Either way all his batteries were toast and unplugged from the plane at the crash site.

There was no way to tell if he had a hold or not.
