I now have a Pilot RC 87" Extra 260 in Black Hunter scheme powered by a DA-50 (of course) on the work bench

I recently offered to help Desert Aircraft Australia with a build on the new 87" Pilot RC Extra 260. This is one pretty plane!

It will be interesing to see the difference in the build between the 260 and Zacs 300, plus the flight difference. Looking forward to test flying this baby!

BTW I would like to add that this plane IS FOR SALE! from Desert Aircraft Aust. so if you like what you see give Richo a call and stake your claim! (before I do!)

Also note this kit is the full carbon fibre option!
Carbon fibre landing gear, wing tube, stab tube, tail wheel and a very pretty carbon fibre spinner.

The gear used in this build will be:

DA- 50 Engine
MTW TD75 K Canister
Hitec HS-7955TG digital servos
SWB servos arms and stand offs
Smart Fly Kill Switch
Mejlik 23 x 8 Carbon prop

The tank will be kept stock but will upgraded to genuine Tygon tubing. Actually opened up the fuel tank to check the plumbing and its all very well done inside, but I prefer the Tygon.

I can't imagine why Richo couldn't get this finnished. What does he do with all his time?

I think Richo has his mind on that new Gee Bee I think

maybe also the 10 other planes he is building in his garage, living room, bedroom etc.

No prob Steve,
they just "feel" nice in the sky. You know what I mean if you have flown plenty of planes.

Havent had a chance to fly the bigger Pilot RC planes but I am sure someone will shove a radio under my nose and say try this! (hint hint guys

)

You can fly the 121" Pilot RC Yak anytime you like Royster!
Only problem is you fly bob cat driver mode!!
