Effingham (Crossroads) IMAC
I have had some people asking about our event so I thought It was time to get some info out there.
We are moving to a new field this year. The field is a lot nicer and the local Effingham rc club and the owner of the field are really wanting us out there. The field faces North and is well maintained. The owner has a super nice building there with bathroom facilities and plenty of hanger space for probably everyones plane that wants to use it. There are some RV hookups available and plenty of space for primitive camping. The Local club is taking care of the food and drinks all weekend so there should be plenty of refreshments for everyone. We have Horizon Hobbies sponsoring the event, so the prizes will be awesome! Everyone that wants to show up Friday for practice is welcome. The field will be open all day. It is North West of Effingham on RT. 33. The coordinates are N. 39. 11. 31 W. 88. 40. 13 If your coming down on 57 get of at exit 160 and go north on rt 32/33. rt 32 will split of and go north, stay on 33 through Shumway, the road will curve left after Shumway, go 1/4 mile after the curve then turn North on 700N and go another 1/4 mile and the field is on the right. There will also be a Local Hobbie shop there with parts and all kinds of good stuff for anyone that needs anything. This event is a group effort between Jeff Williams, Tom Baker and I.
