Hey, Its been a while since I ran nitro and I have this new saito 125 with 2 gallons through it runnin well. The issue is Im runnin coolpower 30% heli, and it wont leave a nice smoke trail (a tiny somthin if i really look hard) . Even richened more than normal off peak rpm, still no nice smoke trail. I guess Ive learned to look for a smoke trail to make sure your not to lean. Is it the coolpower 30% heli?
Also, I temp it when I land and it is in the 140-170 range depending on the area temped. Thanks.....871

i just noticed the same thing on a glow plane a few days ago and i asked the very question. they told me that that fuel doesn't produce much smoke trail. so i would tune it for max rpm and drop 300 and you should be good

Maybe I will try a different fuel, would I have to retune quite a bit going from 30% cool power heli to 20-20 powermaster?

i always use wildcat 20/20 for my saito's tried 30/23 also makes a nice power increase.

personally i never touched the lowend needle after i got it adjusted from the start on the 20/20. not saying that it might not need adjusting but didn't need to in my case. just high speed needle and that was it.

IIRC, the cool power does not has the correct amount of oil for the Saito. Thought it needed 20%, but coolpower was 18%.
