Just to hear the word "warm weather" warms my heart

I would like to know more about the swash unit you built Rod, looks real interesting...

Here it is a few teasers. Weight with motor, no pipes or gear 9.2 kg (20.28 lb). Should come out well under 30 lb.

Still a lot of detail work to be done. Got the rest of the interplane strut mounts done, reinforced them on the back. Also drilled keying holes in the fibreglass where it passes through the ply plates. I need to lighten the plates.

Wow- Never would have thought a "Bucker Jungmann" would look so sporty! Read that name and I usually would think of some colic looking 1930's thing/offering. Thanks for setting me straight.
Love that forward swept gear, cool cowling and swept wings!
Super NICE!!

Not bad for a aeroplane that first flew 1934. Made me think it would work well doing the original inline version with an inline ZDZ 100 or similar.

Hey Rod; Haven't posted in awhile here, but have been looking!!!! Really coming together nice. Like I said a few months ago, you will have this done before I finish my Bucker. You will!!!! Started working on a 27% CAP and have set the Bucker aside for the time being.
Love the pilot you did.

Hi Joe glad you're enjoying the build. The plan for this thread started off as a 50cc Jungmeister (radial version) and some how morphed into a 120cc Jungmann. I still have a DA 50 waiting for a project.

Got the covering supports for the interplane struts done.

Got the wing root rib doublers on. Reinforced them with a couple of layers of 300gm carbon uni. This is to transfer the flying loads from the spars to the wing tube.

Hello Rod
The Jungmann looks fantastic incredible workmanship! Can't wait to see it covered and painted in your chosen scheme hopefully before work gets in the way.
Cheers Don

Thanks Don
I should have the construction finished in a couple of weeks and then a week to cover it. After that it is the annual holiday at the beach for 3 or 4 weeks so it wont fly till february.

More details, here is the front fuselage sheeting.

Started on the wing LE sheeting. Pre curved the sheet to conform to the rib shape using water on the outside and some judicious tweeking. The length of this sheet (36") was one of the deciding factors for the size of the model and also of the spar position (3" back from the LE strip).

Just catching up on this thread. Your work is very good. I will enjoy watching you finish it. Thank you for sharing the build here. Scott.
