I have been flying one of these Reactor Bibes for awhile now. Does exactly like advertized in a Hybrid. Personal opinion is it does the 3D stuff better than pattern. Upright and inverted harriers really well. Rolling is effortless with this model. Trust what the manual says for throw on the Ailerons. They are really effective and will surprise you.
Some specs: OS .91 Surpass Tru Turn Anodized Spinner APC 15x6 Ailerons and Elevator Hobbico CS-35 servos x6 Rudder s3050 Futaba Throttle s 3151 Futaba RX R617FS FASST Battery FlightPower 2100 RX 2s Lipo Regulator 5 Amp FlightTech Used all the hardware but the nylon clevis' and 2-56 aileron pushrod's. Used Great Planes 4-40 Metal clevis' and pushrod's instead. AUW 7 pounds 5 oz. with the listed equipment. The .91 Flies it very well. I will post some pictures and a link to you tube video. Of course let your opinions be known in true FG style! Jason Last edited by BigBird; 08-05-2009 at 04:40 PM. Reason: spelling |

Honestly....we are lucky to have Jason in the same room.....but we do drag him away from a very very important product line.....to get some video of his flying. It all works out in the end....and it is awesome to have Jason here. wheew!....that meets my quotient for saying nice things about somebody for the rest of 2009! ;-) |

Jason, have you heard any feedback about electric power on it?
It looks to fly just like the little one . I have one and am finishing some other projects and was thinking of going w/ electric with this one too. I used the Rimfire motor in my little one and it flys great on 3 or 4 cells. So I'm thinking Rimfire again w/ 6 cell on this one. Whats your feelings on it? Dan |

You are correct it flies a lot like the smaller electric version. I have one of those hanging in my trailer that gets beat on at pretty much every event. I did get to fly the prototype with the recommended electric power combo you are asking about. It flies very well with that set up but the flight times were not much longer than 4:30. Of course that is really pushing it while flying. Pretty much the same power to weight as the smaller bibe has. Which as you know is ballistic. So answer your question is yes it rocks with that set up. Just doesn't fly very long. Jason |

First of all really nice flying in the video. It definately looks like the .91 4 stroke is a great combination in the Reator Bipe. ![]() - Where is your CG at with the .91 4 stroke? I see that this motor is at the higher end of the recommended motors for the plane and was just curious if you were able to balance with out adding any dead weight. - Even with a cubic wing loading of 14.71oz/sq.ft. the plane appears to be quite solid. How does it knife edge? Are you using much mixing either through pitch or roll with the bipe? It seems that many/most bipes require quite a bit of KE mixing. - I really like the fact that GP/Hobbico is going to a thinner aspect ratio wing on these new Performance Series planes. I think the thinner wings definately help with the pitch break and improves many of the post stall maneuvers characteristics without affecting the precision aspects of the plane. Thanks again for starting the thread and posting the video. It's great to see folks that sell these products and manage the processes to take questions and comments from the consumers. ![]() Tim
