Mine is a Cargo-Mate, but I am sure other trailer manufacturers make trailers of that size.

I've got a homestead trailer that is a 6x10 vnose. I can fit 2 40% on the bottom and 2 35% on the top with the way the shelving is if you remove stabs

I didn't put the cuffs on yet. The rest is finished. got it balanced on the center of the tube. I need to know if the C/G is in the right spot. Maybe someone that balanced the prototype. I will mount the batteries after I find out about the C/G.
Came out 18lb even on the fish scale with the RCGF 62 and the Pitts muffler. Now to program the radio. |

Wing tube is fine for the maiden of any Edge/Extra. Adjust from there once you fly it and see how it handles.

Thats an interesting setup you have there to check the balance - how do you have that set up?

It is called the vanessa C/G rig. It is very accurate and it works great on a large plane when you have to balance it by yourself.
There is a thread on RCU that explains it. Here is the link:http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_70...tm.htm#5535055 |

If anyone has any question about the rig I can probably answer it. I have used it the right and the wrong way.
The biggest thing I had to do was to level the datum line with the bubble level. You do that by removing the canopy and using the fuselage for the set up. Level the bubble there. That area is usually level with the thrust line. Then without moving the plane on the string. Move the bubble level on to the wing where you don't disturb it and move it on the radius of the wing till the bubble is leveled. From this point you don't touch the level till you are finished. The pointer will show you where your balance point is at at that time. You can move the batteries and rotate the dowel rod until the bubble is centered and the plum bob is pointing to your C/G mark. |

Ive seen it, too much work, I use the base of the palm of my hand for big birds, gets you close enough to fine tune it to feel. You have to be a mile off on cg to make the larger planes uncontrollable, putting all the gear in the factory position wont let that happen.

I've pinned and sealed the firewall and am waiting for the epoxy to dry. Tomorrow is going to rain all day so I'm going to get as much finished on it as possible. My goal is to fly it next weekend.
