I heard that when they say it's supposed to rain it sprinkles. They say there is a chance of rain we get a flood.

A friend sent me an e-mail and said that DL is going out of business.
Anyone hear anything about that? |

guys,
I am getting one of these in the next couple fo weeks and have a question about spinners. I was looking at the No limits spinners and noticed the silver one and am wondering which would look better on the nose. Polished aluminum (chrome like) or the silver? I think the plane takes a 4" spinner. I was also looking at white but wanted something to set off the silver under the wings. Thoughts? Thanks Jeff

I think the Chrome Tru Turn would look killer all polished up. But the no limitz one is good looking also and you can get the plane/prop/spinner all from PAU at the same time to save on shipping.

Looks like no engine running in today. Rainy dreary weather. So I took the motor back off and pinned the firewall. Maybe tomorrow. |

Jeff, it's your call but I really like the silver fiberglass No Limitz spinner on this plane. I have a 6" No Limitz on my big Edge and it looks great. They are also much lighter and less expensive than Tru-Turn.

Ya, I really like the polished look but hate spending the cake on a tru-turn. I am also toying with buying a white no limitz and painting it to match, either blue or yellow. This is going to be a winter project so there is no hurry. 4" is correct right? I was also looking a Pete's extra spinner.. but if I am gonna spend 70 I might as well go for the tru-turn...
I gotta get some MPI arms also. What length arms do I need? Thanks Jeff

Good luck with the maidens guys! A couple of notes: CG should be at 6" or dead center of the wing tube for a nice balance between precision and 3d. I tried it beyond that and there are not many gains for 3d so 6" is the right spot for me. At 5-1/2" to 5-3/4" is ok and very clean and pretty good for snaps but 6" seems to be where this bird like to be for everything.
If you fly on high rates the majority of the time like I do, you may find the elevator a little sensitive when slowing down for landing. I don't use much expo is probably why but it's fine for me. Anyway low rates with 10% expo it will feel very smooth. For knife edge flight, you will have some minor pitch coupling (pretty normal for this type of plane) that is very linear. We designed as much out of it as possible without turning it into a 260. Once mixed out you'll not even know it's there at almost any speed or attitude. This is one the the straightest flying 50cc's I've ever flown and you won't be disappointed at all. Again good luck guys and have fun! I'll be out with mine tomorrow.
