Just thought I would share this. We just did up 5 of these for a customer doing a scratch build for a cessna. He wanted a 3" wheel so this is what we came up with. He will have a custom bend wire, but this might be about the right size for this plane. It would bolt right up to a a big piece of Carbon Fiber for this plane. Just like we do with our existing carbon fiber from GraphTech. It is on our standard wire right now for testing purposes.

The Yoke with 3" wheel is 3.2 ounces. With our standard Titanium wire 4.5 ounces.

3.1 ounces with the carbon fiber.
3 ounces on titanium.

You can shed .5 oz by going to a lighter 1.5" wheel instead of the Dubro. They are heavy but durable. I have a H9 Pro-lite 1.5" on my other plane.

Kevin B is right, and the 144" length is from the tip of the spinner to the end of the rudder.

That will be a really nice tail gear for this airplane with the 1.5" wheel.
