Actually your right...all the knowledge I get to reap from having such a GOOD friend.
I already learned alot by watching the foam being cut on a digital cutter...that was much cooler than doing it by hand.

Bob what glue are you useing for engine box? I tried to zoom in on the pic ,but couldn't read the glue bottle. And another stupid question. You cut your own kit? I ask because the parts look so clean cut , like lazer cutting or something. parts look prefectly cut and professional. Nice work. <RUTNBUC>

CA.... and all of bobs work is done strictly by hand, most people would be floored to see the quality of craftsmanship that comes out of his garage. If you look at the pics, you will see the 4 major tools he uses, bench sander, scroll saw, drill press, air tools and sand paper, plus the endless amount of hand tools he has buried in those 4 tool boxes.

I only had a little time to work on it tonight, but here are the pictures of the longeron assy. and sanding. They are assembled using med. density 3/8" X 3x8" balsa wood and bonded together with thin and medium CA. The sanding take less than a minute each when placing the sand paper on a flat surface and moving the work across the surface

Hey Bob,
Talk with Graph-Tech about their new G2 Gear (it is super light and near unbreakable).
I switched out a set on my 40% Carden and by doing that and switching to SD Models 5" Foam wheels and titanium Axles it saved me almost 2 lbs. I couldn't believe it.

I think it will take around 3 months with my busy schedule at work.
