HELP!! Stollen Planes
Hey everyone. I am starting this thread to ask for your help. A fellow IMAC'er and FG member has a problem. On Sunday night Pedro Brantuas' trailer was stollen from his driveway. The scumbags got away with his trailer and 2 of his prize 40% planes. He called me today and I can tell you he is broken up about this whole thing. Talking about it really gets to him since it is so new so I told him that I would get on here and call on our brothers to keep their eyes open. The planes that were stollen were his 40% 3W Yak that used to belong to Joe Hunt and his Kenny Lautter built Godfrey Extra 300. Both planes have 3W 170s. Bellow is a couple pictures of the Yak. I am looking for pictures of the Godfrey to post for you guys to see. If you come across any information regaurding either of these planes please contact me. that sucks. but it shouldnt take long to find, especially if its that yak cause its one of a kind, and everyone knows the DOD yak 54. it may show up on some ebay or somthin.

Sorry about it Pedro.
Not to belittle him or anyone else.......But when will we as GS flyers learn. DO NOT STORE PLANES IN YOUR TRAILER. Most thieves are looking for lawn or motorcycle equipment in the trailers. Its typically easier to just snag the trailer so they do. Most of our planes end up in the trash or whatnot because these thieves have no idea what they stole.

I hope they get caught! No offense to anyone here but since you are close to border, I wonder if they can take it across the border! Is there anyway you can inform the authorities at the border as well? |

That Sucks! Prolly diden't even know what they were stealing. Thats cool of you to help out JB, but thats just the kind of stand up guy you are!

Sad thing is they likely dumped the planes. Probably just wanted the trailer. They would have no clue what to do with the big planes.

Nick had it right.....
.. paint in big letters on the side of the trailer.... "JOES ROAD KILL REMOVAL".... and only the REALLY hungry would mess with it!!! Pedro... man... nothing I say can make you feel better... but you got my sympathy for sure... and I hope you get the personal satisfaction of seeing these dirt bags in a courtroom as the judge says "20 Years with no parole".. Sorry Man!!!
