hmm well my 2 cents is i owned both h9 and aeroworks besides my wing failing which h9 horizon is still resolving no bashing here. I like the covering on aerworks due to orentation. H9 Scheme is very close top and bottom of wing. Not hard to fix though.

Ya I had a hard time at first telling top from bottom. I buggered the wing up about a month ago so I'm recovering the whole plane and airbrushing it. Awsome plane otherwise!!

I have an AW extra 300, and a thunder tiger YAk 54. TT yak is better built, stronger built wings, stronger alu landing gear. Better covering job with material seems less flex and more gloss.

i myself have an aw 260 qb and i love it!! very strong true flying plane!!! 2 years ago when i was lookin for a new imac plane a friend let me fly his h9 260. i got to say they both fly great!!! its a hard choice on which to buy i got mine cause a buddy was buying a 40% yak from aw and so we both went to aw's!!! now i dont know about any structual issue either plane may have. ive seen both planes have their landing gears ripped out on landing and only the aw was the easiesat to repair at feild in stay in the contest. i have seen a 40% aw 260 fall from a hover whne the engine died and very little damage was done!!! only some motor box and landing gear damage!!! and that was from 10 feet up on a 40lb plane!!! i will continue to fly my aw 260 until, 1 i crash it, 2 i wear it out, or 3 i finally move to a 40% to compete with!!! like i said both a great flying planes!!! so a choice of which would be hard!!!

So I thought about something to fly in it's place until it comes out and I've narrowed by decision down to two primary airframes, the H9 Extra 260 or the Aeroworks Extra 260. The Aeroworks would be a little bit heavier but would hold up better than the H9. What else should I consider with these two airframes?

Are there any other airframes I should consider (please no AW Extra 300)?

Hello All,
I have been flying PILOT-RC airframes for more than one year at this moment.
I would say it is as good as AW and H9.
For me Pilot-RC is my choice.

I have been waiting for the H9 35% Extra 260 to restock in Jan/10 to pick up a backup for IMAC but I see on the HH site that it has been discontinued. Does that mean there is a new and improved 260 coming?

On the Hangar 9 website, it's not there anymore.

They are redesigning the wings internal structure. I know this for a fact

where'd you read that? I never had a problem with the 'fixed' wings. The only failure I had and had seen were from older 'unfixed' wings.

Default Aeroworks 260 vs. H9 260

I just picked up an Aeroworkks 260 airframe but it isn't set up yet.

Is there any video of freestyle/3D type flying with the AW260?
I like to just kick around with that type of flying alittle.

Thanks
Bob
