URGENT!!! US AIRWAYS HELP

Hey guys im getting ready to go to Portugal for the Worlds. We thought we had everything cleared up but now when I called US AIRWAYS they said my airplanes cannot go on the aircraft as they do not meet the under 80" Cube rule. Can someone help me please. Maybe someone knows anyone as US Airways. I will be departing DTW on Friday at 1645 to PHL then leave PHL to LIS at 2025, arrive LIS at 0830. IF ANYONE CAN HELP MY CELL IS 419-377-6774. My self and Jason are in the same boat as of right now.


The box dimensions are 80" Long 15" wide 24" tall.

The Dims they allow for US Air is 80" Total.
But they have special equipment sizes. The problem is I cannot get anyone to give me an answer on them getting on the plane.

Drew, Just keep asking for a manager/ supervisor.

Let them know that your on a US team, and that the event is being covered by 3 websites that total over 500,000 people all with eyes on US AIR.

Don't settle for anyone but a supervisor.

that is there luggage info. but she said to contact a manager or some one in the luggage depart to see if you can get a oversized package shipped. is there any way to get the box smaller or is it as small as possibe?

Weird, they accept a windsurfing board with a mast up to 19 feet. They charge an extra $100 each way for it, but still. It seems like he may have come up against a person who is not familiar with their own company rules.

I talked to the person at US Air about this and the only thing they said is they cannot assure me it will make it on my flight. I'm worried that if I get it on the DTW flight it will not make it from PHL to LIS. My last resort will be UPS shipment.
