Default RC Pilot 30% Yak Build

Building an RC Pilot 30% Yak, and need help with rudder control horns. In the hardware package there are three control horns, two single and one double. Do you cut the double for the rudder, the manual is not clear.

This is my first 30% aircraft and I'm not going to quess on what's the right way of doing this.

Thanks

Mike

You use two double ended horns and slide them both entirely through the rudder

When i say single, I mean it looks like the ones on your elevators in the pic. The double looks like two of the singles jointed at the glue tabs.

thanks

Yes, use the large one piece, with two horn ends. The one piece will slide all the way through the rudder (top and bottom)

Jeff, your going to need to find some 4-40 cap screws ( 6 total) about .75 long maybe 1.0 for the MPI servo arms the RC Pilot hardware is not playing well with others. I have your spinner screw 5mm / 80mm here at my shop. I have figured out that my Yak does not have a removable rudder. The new manual shows all hinge halfs installed at factory and a long hinge pin for the rudder.

I took a closer look a my rudder horn and mine is good to go. When I initially to a look it appeared to be all one piece but realizing now the locking plates slide off.

I have the 30% 50cc pilot yak. I have it a little tail heavy but it flys great. It is the quikest build ARF that i have ever built and i have completed many. It flys the best of any of my planes from the 50cc profile to the 35% yak and everything in between. With mild 3D throws (30 to 35 degrees) it will dance and fly so good you have to fly it to believe it and i have never said that about any other aircraft in my 15+ years of flying. I can keep this plane in a 150 foot square in front of me and do eveything possible and the plane just floats around (only 15 and a half pounds). You can flip it on it's back with only a small amout of power and full up elevator and it will fall flat, completly horizontal until you add power and it will then jump up into a torque roll. It is nice and will put a smile on your face.
