I manged to download this from here and the sight.I open extract and excute.Says it's loaded but does not appear in my main menu.It is in my airplane folder when I open the folder in windows.Any ideas?

open the planes ".TMD" file with something like word and change the number at the top from 1.9.0 to 1.8.0

have made some changes. Unzip all of the files to ...aircraft/Katanak
Then copy and paste the sound files to the sound directory of AFPD. Cheers, George

no worries. Just remember that if the plane doesnt work. Go into the folder, open the ...".TMD" file and change the number at the top from 1.9.0 to 1.8.0
This is because the new addon for AFPD includes a patch which means that all the new AFPD planes are for version 1.9.0 not the version most of us have because we havent got the new addon. Glad to be of service. If any more questions please ask. Cheers, George

could you change the version to 1.8.0 for me because every time I click on the TMD file it wont open it in word. It says it can't open because the file is corrupt

I have done> Look at "Katana_ma" above. I changed the TMD file for you.
To open it in word (for future purposes) right click on the .TMD file scrol down to "Open with" and select something like notepad

All are good tips. I use Wordpad for anything to do with AFPD; I have noticed that some other programs will somehow corrupt the files sometimes.
I have been flying the Katana mentioned in this thread on AFPD, modded it a little bit, now one of my favorite planes on there!  Brandon |
