Default Harris Smoke Pump

What is the difference between the competition version of the Harris smoke pump and there other version? And how much voltage will they stand? I'm wanting to use A123 6.6 nominal voltage.

I have a comp pump and it plugs directly into your Rx and runs off those batts....no need for a separate pack. I believe the regular version has a plug for a separate batt as well as the Rx plug.

I'm also running A123 and have had zero problems. Works great.

I called the guy that sells them at Aerographix and he said not to run over 6 volts, so I went with the sport version. Your correct the Comp version is a direct Rx plug in and seeing I'm running the A123's and they charge up to around 7.2 volts, with that said I just went with the sport version to be on the safe side.

Guys,

Here are some Word docs on the two pumps. These are new and improved pumps that Harris just came out with and will now work from 4.8v to 8.4v without regulation. Note these are the newest pumps out from Harris which we will have in stock next week. Also note that you can use a 4.8 volt battery in a 90-120 size airplane and the pump will work as long as the battery is a high capacity pack 2000 Mah or larger.

These pumps are priced right and for the money are a great pump that will last for years to come. Just had a new customer call and buy one from us and said his last Harris pump lasted him 14 years. Name another pump that can do that! We think their the most bang for your buck and that's way we offer them and use them our planes!

Brian,

Will you change my pending order from the sport harris smoke pump to the New Comp version as I called and wanted the comp version but you said I needed to run 6v or less. But now with the new and improved pump version I can run the A123 batteries which I prefer. My phone # is 606 474-7215 for reference. I also left a voice message on your answering machine.

Yes, no problem, I tried to call you today to tell you but no answer. So I will change your order in our system tomorrow. Should be receiving our stock order this week.

Thanks,
