By making 100% of the event proceeds go to that cause. First, the RDRC membership steps up and volunteers tremendous effort toward the many preparations prior to the event and then to help run it. Second, we have many gracious local business and hobby industry sponsors who support us through financial, material, and/or manpower donations. The sale of tickets for the raffle of many sought-after prizes, including an awesome grand prize (we'll detail that shortly!) makes up a great percentage of the total charitable donation. Third, all pilot registration fees, food concession profits, etc. go directly to the donation. ALL OF IT!

So, the ultimate way you can personally help the kids at Victory Junction would be to show up, register, fly, eat, buy raffle tickets, and enjoy yourself. Wow! By having fun doing what we like to do, we will all help make life a little better for some "special needs" children. That's a marvelous thing!

Exactly,,

What better way to spend a weekend, you'll get a ton of flying in at a great flying site, and the end result is you're helping children in need. I went to the event last year and was amazed at the turnout and money raised. These guys put a great deal of back breaking work in to hold this event, and the second you roll in you feel like you're in another world, they really make you feel welcome and wanted there. I highly recommend this event to anyone who is even slightly considering attending, just make your reservations and head out that weekend!!! And remember, buy those raffle tickets, the more you buy the more you help the charity, and you're improvong your chances of winning those great prizes. It sure would be nice to end your weekend flying that grand prize, and just think, you helped children while doing it. See you all there.

That's the spirit!

UPDATE!!

FFT 2009 will be streaming live video/audio from 3 cameras at http://www.flyfortots.com from 7:00am-11:00pm EST on September 19th & 20th! We know there will be folks all over the world who can't make it and would like to. This will at least get you one step closer to the 2009 Fly For Tots!

NOW! Don't use this as an excuse not to come, folks. Watching it on a video is one thing, but being there live and in person is an experience that can only be lived one way....and that's BEING THERE!

Chris Hinson will be there, I'm sure if you contacted him he could bring a plane for you(would save on some shipping). Quique has cut back on traveling, I talked to him at Joe Nall and he said the only 2 events he was doing this year was SEFF and Joe Nall. I don't think Yuri will be there BUT go to flyfortots.com and look at the pilots who are coming. Andy Kane, Seth Arnold, Jamie Hicks, RJ Gritter, Chris Hinson, Lee Morey and many more. It will be quite a show.
For those who have never been it is a very unique show. If you think of where ALL the money(not just "some") goes and all the pilots you get to meet and fly with and the fact that it is a FLY ANYTHING event it can't be beat.

Hey another guy from Jersey, lol. This event is well worth the ride if you have the time. There will be a good group of some top level pilots there, it will be a good show. If you're looking to purchase a plane from Chris let me know and I'll make sure he brings what you're looking for if you're going to attend, he usually has show prices and you will save on the shipping.
