You add a set of the COOOLEST blingn' CNC milled, aluminum wheels on the market.... that's right, Vern from White Rose Engineering is donating a set of his wheels!!!

Then, you add the most realistic, light weight, pilots in the cockpit to be seen under that huge canopy... you got it, the good guys over at Red Aero RC are donating one of their 35% Mega Pilots!

Finally... you need the best graphics and vinyl to give the color scheme those last little touches, and pop, needed....and to show everyone that you have the best, of the BEST on your new plane... you show'em the logo's of the gear you are running! Eric over at B&E Graphics is helping to finish up the whole deal with some graphics!

Is this not THE coolest?

Thank you very much guys... I'll add, White Rose Engineering, Red Aero RC and B&E Graphics to the sponsors list.

Very Cool !!!

Looks Great, Matt! Let me know if there is anything I can do. My schedule is limited with school starting back, but I would love to have a hand in the build...I mean, after all, I did used to have the baddest Yak around UNTIL....well, you guys have heard the story.

Seriously, though, this IS the BEST flying plane in the 100cc class on the market today. It will definately hold its own in the IMAC world, and lets not even talk about how phenomenal the 3D is! Major Thumbs up on this one!!!

Matt,

What kind of paint did you use to get the texture?

It is done in two steps... first spayed with rustoleum auto gray primer. Then with valspar stone paint.

Lowes or homedepot has the paints.

Sweet Larry!

Ok, so we are in a short holding pattern the last few days... just waiting for the rest of the gear to get here!

Tomorrow afternoon, we'll plumb the tank/motor, put the mufflers on and finish up the cowl.

Matt,
Does gasoline effect the paint finish on the firewall area?
Looks really nice.

So, today I took a half day to burn some vacation and work on the Fly For Tots Grand Prize!

I got home and was greeted by a few brown boxes on the porch.

Here's a few shots:

Duralite flight Systems sent 3 sets of their brand new A123 packs, two with the EC3 connectors to work with the High Power JR 922 receiver. They also sent a charger and Powerbox Systems Digi switch for the ignition. Very nice stuff.

Red Aero sent one of their Mega Pilots with a yellow helmet... looks great under the canopy!

The White Rose Engineering billet aluminum wheels came today as well... they look really nice and will be great on a YAK with the half-pants/spats!

We finished up mounting the cowl, pumbed the tank, pianted the root ribs and the wing tunnels in the fuse.

Nope, it is a lacquer primer with an enamel based splatter.
