Got the E-flite Sukhoi to replace my recently departed E-flite 260(went to hit dual rates and accidently hit the flap switch causing the right aileron to go full up
). Anyways, its got a park 480 910kv outrunner motor, Eflite 40 Amp esc, Spektrum AR6100 rx, JR285's on ailerons and JR241's on rudder and elevator and E-flite 2100mAh 3s battery. Hope to maiden either tonight or tommorrow, hope this one ends better lol.

Nice looking plane, just need to work on balance and controls. Needed lots of trim for straight and level flight. Any ideas on how to keep elevator from twisting? I give it full deflection and one half deflects more than the other.

I didn't really notice any twisting of the elevator on mine, but I'll definitely check it out before I maiden it tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm pretty stoked about it! Though I won't be messing with the dual rates while its in the air lol.

What radio are you using? When I set up a flaperon mix with my 9303 I have an option to adjust the flap throw for each aileron on the flap switch... I zero them both out, works great! It keeps me from accidently hitting that switch IN flight

its the 9303 2.4, I'll have to look at it. I just recently got the radio so I'm still learning all about it, thanks for the tip!

You'll enjoy it. I've got about 5 flights on mine so far with the same setup (except servo's and rx). mine came in at 35oz RTF w/ a 3s 2500 lipo. With the CG set towards the forward 1/3 of the recommended CG range their is some tucking during knife-edge flight (gear in left KE, canopy in right KE). Harriers have alot of wing rock, but i believe this is from the CG position. Power is nice, but I would prefer to have a little bit more (this is probably due to the weight of mine). I have a 3s 2300 A123 pack that is supposed to give me another 10-12oz of thrust (according to online calculators) that i am going to try out today and see how that does.

Well I just got back from the maiden. 1st flight I used an 1800mAh 3s E-flite pack, alot of gentle flying, just getting used to the plane, and trimming it out, ect. Got about 15 minutes out of it, would take it up high and just glide back down. The 2nd flight I used a 2100mAh 3s pack and was more aggressive. The vertical wasn't exactly unlimited but with a slight head wind it would keep climbing with some stick input to keep it headin up. As far as aerobtics, positive snaps were nice and quick and clean, negative snaps were as well. Rolls were very axial, stall turns require alot of aileron input but aren't bad. I didn't do alot of 3D'ing yet, though blenders are a blast with this guy! Hope to really wring it out, all and all a fun little plane. Oh HuckinChikn, thanks for the flaperon tip, now I dont have to worry about inadvertantly hitting the switch again.
