Default Stick and rudder artistry in a stock Stearman

This guy is a master of energy and altitude management.

Very few people can fully appreciate the level of flying he is demonstrating.

There were moments in the video that I had to remember to breathe.
Just WOW!

Holding that Falling Leaf all the way to the deck in a stock Stearman is one of the the most amazing things I have ever seen.

That was a great performance. I'll never forget some of the amazing flights that were given that day.

PP, thanks for posting the video
I had the thrill of seeing John Mohr do his thing in "Yellow Peril" last year at Brunswick NAS, Maine.
When I found the autograph booth, He and Patty Wagstaff were the only ones there and nobody seemed at all interested in them, so I had the opportunity to speak with both of them without a line of people behind me. A few years back, I had a ride in a stock Stearman, just like Yellow Peril, I had the controls for about 1/2 hour while cruising, what a delight, though I sure would not want to even think about landing one.

I doubt I'll ever get the chance to see him perform at a airshow because I live on the west coast.
I've had a little aerobatic time in a open cockpit Skybolt. It's unique experience having your head sticking out in the open air while flying, especially when inverted. I found myself constantly checking to be sure my harness was secure.

John is a really nice guy too. Plus, he is a full scale helicopter pilot and flies the hell out of RC stuff both planes and helicopters.
