Mostly cloudy. Highs in the lower 50s. West winds around 5 mph...becoming north this afternoon. This is suppose to be today weather so we will be at the field around Noon!!! Drop what you are doing and meet us at the field!!!

OMG... What a day!!! I had a pretty good time....
The airplane gods were fighting against everyone today, and it was so beautiful out there.... for once momma nature was behaving, and the Airplane gods were mischievious.... lol I think Telefonica was the only one that had some really nice flying in.... nice rollers and tail touches today Jim!!!! Yeah! I was Jmiracle pit biotch today.... his engine was being really cranky on his mustang.... so I took over and helped him out.... got just a touch of Jello-arm from prop flipping..... lol I put one flight on the Yellow Spad~540 with the new servos in the tail.... went pretty good.... had to land, and program some more elevator expo into the radio..... then the second flight, I did a snapasaurus on the take off, and wanted to go right into a hover, and blahhhhhhh.... the engine quit.... so the plane took a bath in the pond, and I got in a little rowing exercise... ... the yellow is much brighter now.... gonna head out to the shop and dry the servos out... just a little moist... lol... but the plane is still fine.... Karen and Jmiracle got pics of me in the boat again..... ahhh the good life! Nelly's 40cc just wouldn't run right today... don't know what's up with that.... gonna look over everything really good... and I might even throw a different ignition box on it, and see if it straitens out.... I'll recheck the ignition timing too.. but, I think it's still right on... Nelly's new servos on the tail section of her spad~540 were pretty decent too... hopefully next time we go out, we can put them through the true test of constant flying abuse.... |
