The price of the plane alone will be $319. Combo with DLE-30/muffler, complete hardware, prop and spinner will be $679, a savings of $61. That will include one of our 19-8 bunny props and a 3" Dave Brown aluminum spinner.

We'll have a servo package of 4 HD DS120M servos plus extensions for $159.

Looks like I will be waiting till the end of September for a new plane then. Will you have any other servo packages like Hitec? I have had terrible luck with the DS120 servos.

I also have the 9110s and 9150s and a few other numbers. Of course I have Hitec packages as well.

It looks like the 5485HB will be perfect for this plane, assuming it is more accurate than the 5645. If so I'll have a package with the 5485s.

I will order a few of them to see how they work. The specs are perfect for this size plane.

I found a NIB plane for a great price. I think this should be a good match for the DL30.

I'm planning to put this engine on a Somenzini 72", I have had a lot of problems with the engine of this plane...

First of all, YS 140 sport, not enough power to 3D.
then Evolution 35cc, more power, but, but, A LOT OF WEIGHT. Snaps almost 90% of time. Weight is about 13lbs, too much for the wing loading.

Then I'm planning to buy one DL-30 for this beautiful plane, but I'm not sure if this engine is enough for 3D or should I add an OS 160?

The DL 30 will be plenty of power for you.

Kevin Elders orange/blue scheme is awesome. It was my desktop pic for awhile. Good choice and at $319, a good pick.

Has anyone used the AW Yak 54 .90-1.20 w/DLE 30cc combo? I have a copy of the mounting template for the DLE and noticed that the mounting holes and the firewall of the AW Yak is almost the exact same size. Mounting template holes: 54mm x 70mm, the firewall is about 2-3mm larger. What do ya do?????? I thinking about getting this motor but I don't want to spend the $$$ if this is not going to work. If it can't, I'll go with the new MLD 28cc.

hi,
i read with interest, i got an edge540T V2 from wildhare and also another edge 26cc class with a poor 26 cc jc engine.
First thing is; JC engines are crap, weak ! it would ertainly be better with the DL 30.
The flying charecteristics of the 50cc gasser are much better than te smaller one! stability is incredibly better with the "tall one".
I come a bit late on the subject, is there some news about this flying project ?
Kind regards Olivier

I have an old 25% Genesis Cap 232 that used to fly like bananas with a Saito 182 twin. It needs some repairs to the area that the landing gear mounts on to, as I always lost a cylinder in flight with that motor. It is a cool airframe from Canada that went out of production after 1999. Composite fuse with foam core wings, and tail feathers. 74" wingspan, 976 Sq. inches of wing area (24 ounces per square foot), ranged between 9.75 to 10.3 lbs, and called for a 1.20 to a 1.80 fourstroke. I figure a good time to try out a DL product? Been holding out for DA to come out with a 25 to 30cc motor this whole time. I have not been following this thread as I usually claim JUNK when it comes to DL's. So what do you guys think? Do I go against what I've been claiming, and give up waiting for DA? I sure would like to see that old plane fly again. I guess I'll go back and read this thread, and see who's had good and bad luck with this motor.

If you have the dough, the new EF Extra would be killer. Gorgeous model.

I'm thinking about purchasing a DLE 30 but some of the guys at RCU have had problems with this motor dying on them at idle and when the motor is tilted at an angle. Yes, it sounds strange but it happens. No one can really figure out what the problem is....I wish they would come out with rear carb version.

Oh great, just when I was about to flip flop on my opinion of DL or DLE. I guess I'll keep waiting for DA to come out with a 30cc. ...... .... ... back to claiming that those motors are junk ... .... ...
