Aussies at the Tucson Shootout 2009!

We have 2 Aussies lads competing at the Tucson Aerobatic Shootout this year:

Chris Brislin - Invitational
Mark Hansen - Intermediate

Well done to both pilots for making the grade and getting through the selection process.

Looks like 5 of us will make the trip this year:

Chris "Puff Daddy" Brislin - Pilot and rock star
Norm "Big Daddy" Brislin - Rock Star wrangler, and accomodation manger
Mark "Ricky" Hansen - Pilot and product model
Peter "Boof Head" Lee - Bouncer, driver and groupie wrangler
Steve "Richo" Richardson - Caller, driver, mechanic, and drinks waiter

We are taking the models with us a oversized luggage () this year, thanks to some support from Qantas Airlines! We have organized a big kick a rse van in Los Angeles that should hold all 5 of us and the 3 models (where groupies will fit, I'm not certain).

The plan is to drive to Tucson from LA (about 10 hours, 15 if Norm drives), which will make for a long day!! 14 hours on the plane, 2 hours stooging around and packing the van in LA and 10 hours on the road to Tucson!! I feel tired already. Its going to be a major task keeping Puff Daddy and Ricky awake, they fall asleep before you get out of the driveway!!

It's all going to be a lot of fun, and we will try and keep you all posted on where we are, and how things are progressing. I'm pretty sure there is a couple of other Aussies heading over there on thier own, if you are dont forget to look us up!! We will be the ones in the pitts that talk a little funny!!

So there goes my English lessons down the tube. I was surely looking forward to learning a few new choice ones this year but looks like I need to wait for Big Steve in 2010.
