Thanks, was just thinking it is going to be a shame if someone won the NATs and was not invited to the TAS.

Just like if your 1st in your Region and you don't get an invite.

The system isn't totally fixed yet, but its better than last years

Invites really wont come into play for all classes except "Invitational".
Contest management does reserve the right to "invite" up to two persons per class though.
The point system, while not perfect, is in place to get active IMAC members who do well week after week into the contest.
Dave told me he wants any of the ten people in each class to be capable of winning.

No biggy, I know the system is not perfect, but if very good pilots do not get in because they come from a region with low turnouts, they dont get the points for placing above a lot of other folks like the contests with large turnouts i.e. west coast contests.

Like I said, its not perfect.

In my region, NC there generally isnt a big turnout in Unlimited and even less in Advanced.
If you look at the "Unofficial" point standings there are several of us in those classes who are right there in the points race.
If you want to go, you have to do whatever you can to get there. I know us here havent been overly concerned with what others are doing in other regions.

I think me a Jeremy will be right on the bubble. It all depends on who decides to go. We are going to make Tulsa next weekend and see if we can get a few more points.

You may want to include the Canadians in the mix. Here is a list of the Ontario contests and results...
